Yeah. I can't say enough good things about the Livescribe. You're one of 14 people I know of that bought the pen because I made the introduction. That's the great thing about a great product: it easily generates evangelists and then sells itself.

I have two types of conversations that I record: the conversations I think I may share, and the conversations I record strictly for my own reference. In the case of Andrea's many medical appointments, I've audio recorded only a couple -- appointments on days which I felt I needed to capture and understand everything while "learning a new language". As you can appreciate, some appointments, even some days, can be emotionally challenging. Those are the days I need the reassurance that I haven't missed or misunderstood any important information. I will never share those recordings with anyone (except Andrea) or use them for any purpose other than my own reference. I guess in that way, rightly or wrongly, I avoid those awkward moments and hesitations.

Great post Mark! It was your initial enthusiasm for the Livescribe pen that got me to purchase one too. A question I would have for you, do you ever run into situations where people have felt awkward or hesitant when they knew you were recording the conversation?
