Mark, I can’t answer the questions honestly because you haven’t given me enough options. What about a Doctor for primary health info? If you are really asking, “of these options, what is your primary …”, then I could answer the quiz. (I think my primary source of entertainment is physical activity so I couldn’t answer that one either.)
If you change the survey, I can answer it! :)

Good point, Dalila. I have updated the survey to display the following at the top…
“Of the options presented below, which best describes your sources of information and entertainment.”

I agree- what do you mean by surfing? If I’m online, I am doing all sorts of things; reading blogs; checking stats and websites, answering email, facebook- i am all over the place. Is all of that surfing? Are we going for entertainment, or business or the mix it usually is? And My min source for med infromation is books and my physicians (including my spouse) there is no none of the above answer.

Of course I will!

Mark,
I’m sure that there are specific things that you are looking for, but I have to agree with the other that some of the answers are a little limiting. The wording on some of the questions could be improved slightly but nothing too big. Over all though the survey was answerable and I wouldn’t want to confuse things by suggesting you change things again.
I look forward to seeing where you take this.

The purpose of the survey is very specific — my goal is to understand, based on the available options, how people allocate their time and where they find their information (wittingly or not). The results are likely to be skewed anyway since the survey is Internet-based and will probably not travel beyond those who live their lives online.

I was answering your survey until I got to:
“Which is your primary source of health information?”
“Doctor” would be my answer but for some reason it’s not one of the options. The answers are all media/news sources. I don’t look to the media for health information, I look to a doctor.
While I’m at it, shouldn’t the question, “Which is your primary source of product information?” also have an option for salesperson? I tend to do a combo of salesperson, people I know, and internet when trying to find out information, depending on the product.
And the question regarding a primary source of entertainment doesn’t include movies/dvds though that’s about all I watch these days…
So I didn’t answer the survey. Sorry.

Hey Ross! It’s great to hear from you, again.
I know that there are a lot of options missing from the survey and I point that out at the top of the survey page with the text…
Of the options presented below, which best describes your sources of information and entertainment.
It is a technology-focussed survey. I hope that a health professional is the primary source of authoritative health information for everyone!
