A photo I took on the trail at Dickson Falls in Fundy National Park while on a family camping trip in New Brunswick during the summer of 2007 will be displayed at Fundy National Park as part of a Parks Canada project that is meant to provide visitors with:
- Authentic, varied and memorable experiences that create meaningful connections with place, nature and Parks Canada;
- Learning opportunities that reveal Fundy’s rich diversity and provoke discussion on issues;
- Experiences that inspire and enable visitors to play an active role in ecosystem health.
I received an email this morning asking me for permission to use a photo I had posted to my Flickr account after we returned home. It’s not the first time I have been asked for and given permission to use a photo, though it is the first for a Government of Canada initiative that will result in a printed version being displayed. The other requests have been largely from citizen media sites.
Do you post your photos on Flickr for all to see?

What a beautiful picture. I’ve never thought about Flickr! Thanks for the idea.

That is really cool, Mark. Congratulations. I love the photo. But no, I haven’t shared my photos out on Flickr…
